I took the PC back to bestbuy, they said that the motherboard is bad and replaced the PC which was less than a week old. The replacement PC also does not detect the RAM on.

So I ran a bunch of mem86+ tests...The full test was ran until completion. 0 errors. Slot names below are based on the manual labeling for the 8 ram slots. 1 stick, slot A1 1 stick, slot B1 1 stick, slot C1 1 stick, slot D1 4 sticks, slots A1-D1 All tests pass. But windows crashes only on the 4 sticks test. All other ram slots cause 3 bios. That is not true at all. More RAM doesnt make a PC faster, while dual channel does. 12GB of single channel is better than 8GB of dual channel when you need 9GB.... Ideally you have enough ram in the optimal dual channel or triple channel configuration supported by your hardware. Slightly less ideally you just have enough RAM period.

I think you may lose dual channel capability, but that's not a major difference. 12 GB in single channel is certainly better than 8 in dual channel IF you actually use the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th GB of RAM. Have you monitored how often you actually use more than 8 GB?.

So what happens is either if I take 3200 or 3600 I can run them just fine in slot 2 and 4 in my MOB without any issue and their rated speed with a A-XMP profile. But, if I install my ram in slot 1 and 3 it can only be run at 2933MHz with either 2x8 3200 or 2x8 3600 (at 2933mhz like I said).

With Dual Channel it doesn't matter besides having 2paired ram in the correct slots, 1-3 or 2-4 it doesn't matter, but there is an issue with your ram itself, (I'm not the most tech Savvy person so i may not be 100% correct on this, but from what i have read over the years this is my understanding). but the issues here are that. Just note that the 8GB sticks are far cheaper than the 16GB ones. 2. AMD recommends 3600MHz, after 3733MHz internal CPU memory dividers come into play which will make for lower performance, so don't go higher than that. CAS latency is always the lower, the better, regardless of CPU.
